The Original Paint Job:
The customer tried to assemble the bike himself and made the parts look like Swiss cheese.
This is how it looked when it left:
Even though these parts were obviously damaged by improper installation and outright abuse, I still covered them under warranty. The damage to these fenders is obvious. I have showed these photos to several people in the industry and everyone is in agreement that these parts were trashed either during installation or shipping. or both. The customer tried to say that it was faulty work.
Seriously? Put down the monkey wrench and leave motorcycle assembly to someone who at least gives a crap about doing it right. It was painful to see my work treated this poorly.
It was fixed anyway at no cost to the customer. For all of my efforts above and beyond..... I did not even get a thank you or even a notification that everything arrived OK. Knowing this customer, had there been even a slight problem, I'm sure there would have been some kind of communication.
