1997 BMW 528i minor bodywork and paint touch-ups
Right side door and fender:
This car was damaged before. There was body filler on the fender. The dent repair is easy. Just weld some studs and pull.
A little grinding and some body filler...
After sanding the filler, a little polyester glazing putty to fill in the sanding scratches.
The hood was painted before. I don't know why. It was blended in from the front, but there was no damage to the front of the hood. I'm guessing they blended it from the right fender damage, but who knows? The blend was delaminating, so I had to sand it off...
Left side below the taillight:
I pulled the taillight to keep it from getting damaged during the work. The same procedure was used here. Weld studs, pull, smooth out metal, grind, sand, add filler, polyester.....
The bumper had some deep gouges in it. Luckily, they sanded out, for the most part. I used duct tape while sanding the metal to keep from scratching the rubber bumper.
