Long Island Cars Car Club

We are starting this car club because we grew tired of personal agendas, cliques, infighting, and outright illegal activities being perpetrated by members of car clubs we joined. In our car club, the only thing important is your love of custom/classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. We don't discriminate. Your vehicle can't be "too new", "too old" or "too anything".... The only thing we ask is that if it is not a "classic", it is at least partially customized. This can be as simple as custom rims and tires, basic custom paint, to as radical as you can get.

There are no dues, monthly fees or anything like that in our club. The only time we will ask you for any money is for a show or other function we attend as a club. If we need to build a display, it would be nice for the members to "chip in" for the cost of materials. Entry fees for shows would also be the individual vehicle owner's responibility. If we enter the show as a club, entry fees would be split amongst the club members.

Club members would be asked to display a club logo somewhere on their vehicle. This could be a decal on a window, an airbrushed logo on the painted area somewhere or some other creative way of displaying the club logo (which is the same as the logo at the top of this page).

Club members are not restricted to our club alone. If you are a member of another club, that is fine. We only ask that you attend some of the shows we go to as a member of our club. This can all be worked out as we go, this is all pretty new, so we'll be tweaking things quite a bit, I'm sure.

We also plan to have a show of our own at some point. To this end, we would accept donations toward expenses for setting up and putting on the show. This will all be worked out well in advance, there will be no surprises for club members, unless we are all equally surprised by a sudden show or event that becomes available on short notice...

Club members will also receive a discount for any work done here at Long Island Customs. The amount of discount varies by the amount of work done. Club members will also have use of the shop at times, schedule permitting. We will help you get ready for a show if your vehicle has that need. We also give bigger discounts to members that come and help us in the shop with our projects. We have no shortage of work here in the shop....
