More work on the van

I did some bodywork on the van yesterday. I had some old damage on the right side and a woman who was texting her daughter while driving hit me in the left side. She did quite a bit of damage, mostly superficial, except she broke 4 of the 5 lugs on the back wheel (I did not notice that until after I drove away and the wheel came off a few miles down the road).

This page links to all the work:

Work I thought was done

So, I had to do some more work to the black tow truck after the painter caused some damage while clearing, and putting his nose where he shouldn’t. I had a striper come in and add some fancy striping. The painter took it upon himself to wipe off the striping, without checking with anyone. He not only took off the striping, he also damaged the airbrush work on the sides of the truck. All the airbrush work is fixed, plus I added a little more to it while I was there.. Site re-arranging

I recently added his blog software to the site. I m trying to get used to using it instead of the normal way I would update news, new stuff, etc. I will be re-arranging the website. There will no longer be a “New” section, a “News” section or an “Events” section. Al of those will now be in this section, under different headings, of course. Hpefully, this will make the site more pleasurable to use for my visitors, and it will also make things easier for me as I’ll have only one section to update for all shop and website news and new information.

Thanks.

Clark C300-30 Forklift update

I can’t get this damn forklift to keep running. I can get it started, but only by pulling the vacuum line off the fuelock filter and playing with it while cranking over the engine. My thought was the fuelock filter was bad., so I bypassed it. Same result, except now I can’t play with the vacuum line to get it running. So far, I have checked the fuelock filter, vaporizer and carburetor. All apear to be working, yet the forklift will not stay running. It is NOT a spark issue, it is NOT a timing issue, there is no such thing as bad propane (one of the suggested fixes was to switch to a new tank of propane), plus the tank is brand new anyway, filled at a reputable local welding supply. There is plenty of compression and the timing is perfect. The points have been cleaned and adjusted. The plugs were each taken out and inspected. They are all like new. They were cleaned and checked anyway. The machine runs on starting fluid and it will run on gasoline. The problem is the propane fuel delivery. I am out of my mind, I mean ideas, as to how to get this forklift running.
