Here is the trike frame as it was picked up. |

|
It had potential, but needed to be completely re-done. |

The first to go was the seat. Do I really need to explain why? Ugly would be a compliment. I won't even mention that it weighed about 30lbs... oops, just did. The next to go was the coffin tank. Although this style of tank is cool for a certain look, this frame was too curved and sweeping for such a squared-off tank. The tank was traded to Lee from Broadway Choppers for a set of shocks for a Shovelhead project found elsewhere on this site. Then, an old Sportster tank was traded for a newer King Sportster tank (nicknamed this way because it is huge compared to the old Ironhead tank I had for this originally) for the sole purpose of more range between fuel stops. |

The next to go is the front end. Some people think I'm crazy for getting rid of the girder, but I just don't like the look of it. I prefer the look of a Wide Glide. So, that's what this trike is getting. I saw this on eBay, and although it's not a Sportster, I like the look of this. |

I got these fork cups from Billetwerx. They will allow putting a Big Twin front end on an early Ironhead frame. They are shown on an early Ironhead frame that was originally going to be built for the engine that is now going in the trike. |
